What is Childtrition's mission? Our mission is combatting food insecurity in rural communities by providing access to nutritious meals.

Who is eligible for Childtrition's meal services? In order to be eligible you must:

  1. Be 18 or under

  2. Live at an address that is designated as “rural” by the USDA. You can find the USDA Rural Designation map here or at: www.fns.usda.gov/sfsp/rural-designation

  3. Not be receiving meals under any other summer feeding programs

  4. Be in an area that is served by a Summer Meal Program Sponsor that has chosen us as a Vendor. You can find a list of available service areas here.

How often can meals be collected from pickup sites?

  • 5 day meal boxes are delivered each week for Pointe Coupee Parish customers.

  • 7 Day meal boxes may be picked up every 7 days from designated pickup sites in select areas.

What is the frequency of home delivery?

  • Home deliveries of 5 day meal boxes are scheduled for once per week.

What types of meals does Childtrition provide?

  • We offer shelf-stable meal kits that include breakfasts, lunches, and milk that meet USDA school meal program guidelines.

Are there any costs to the children or families for meals?

  • No, our meals are provided by the state of Louisiana at no cost to families to support the community and reduce food insecurity.

How can I sign up for meal kit deliveries?

  • Families can request meal kit deliveries in qualifying areas through the “Register for Meals” tab at the top of this page. Families can simply go by any of our pick up sites to receive meal kits in their area.

What is the coverage area for Childtrition's services?

  • We are a Louisiana company that primarily serves various parishes in Louisiana and are always trying to serve more!

What quality assurance measures does Childtrition have in place?

  • Our quality assurance includes tamper-proof packaging, USDA/SFSP compliant meals, and all relevant permits and certifications.

Can schools and non-profits partner with Childtrition?

  • Yes, we are committed to partnering as a vendor with qualifying Sponsors to reach as many children as possible. Please reach out and let us know how we can help!
